The speaker is a neuroscientist and illustrates how the brain performs under stress and how to make the brain clam down. When the brain is under stress, it releases cortisol that raises your heart rate and modulates adrenaline levels affecting to think not appropriately. This brief explanation supports to understand the further process how we can deal with a nervous situation. A term of pre-mortem indicates that people can prevent the consequences to figure out the alerts before they start tasks. The main idea of speaker is "Think ahead". This opinion focuses on the process of handling with all warning signs before conducting tasks and anticipating the worst consequences to prevent a failure. In conclusion, the idea of "Think ahead" will minimize the damage, or to prevent the bad things from happening in the first place.

Self-reflective report

After I watched TED talks, I think how I deal with the situation under stress. When I found mistakes from the tasks, I stopped all processes and made a list of what I did wrong in each part. This list is very important not to be panic to find a solution. Then, I checked the error or missing points in my tasks. As TED talks suggested "Think ahead", this is the best way to prevent a bad consequence and make a plan.
